Land Development
We construct a significant portion of reticulation sewers within new housing and industrial developments across Greater Melbourne. We have a long history and excellent relationships with our clients, working successfully as a subcontractor to the principal contractors developing these areas.
Capital Works
We continue to successfully deliver branch and main sewers as Principal Contractor working directly for the Melbourne Retail Water Authorities and developers. We have substantial experience in large diameter assets, various pipe materials and have in-house testing, CCTV and jetting capabilities.
Live Sewer and Maintenance
Our dedicated live sewer team has extensive experience in sewer repairs, break-ins, property connections, manhole modifications and much more. With the newest confined space entry equipment and continuous training of our experienced personnel, we can conduct live sewer works safely, minimising risk to persons and the environment.
Deep Excavation
With a vast fleet of plant and equipment and long history of experience and knowledge in excavation and trench protection, Califam excel at deep excavation works. With engineered trench shields as well as a large pool of highly experienced and competent operators, we can undertake open cut trenching in excess of 10m deep. Combining trench and fall from height protection, deep excavations can be completed safely, minimising risk to workers and the public.
Trenchless Pipe Installation
Califam have significant experience managing trenchless construction as a portion of our contracts which often include trenchless crossings of roadways, waterway or other assets. We have long established relationships with renowned trenchless contractors and experience managing their works and methodologies to ensure trenchless components are completed efficiently and with minimised risk.
Adverse Ground Conditions
From solid rock to running sand, Califam has the expertise and equipment to manage a variety of ground conditions to ensure projects are completed safely, on time and within budget. We have state-of-the art rock breaking plant as well as diverse groundwater management and trench protection equipment, enabling us to operate successfully in a range of conditions.
